Are you prepared to step up your skincare routine? My Korean skincare routine is so good and I really believe it is the key to having amazing skin. You can find these products for all different prices depending on where you look so make sure you get the best deal!
Step 1: Double Cleansing
Use an oil-based cleanser first to remove sunscreen, makeup, and other stuff from your day. After that, use a water-based cleanser to remove any remaining residue. Your pores will thank you!!
- Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser – 150ml
- Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil Pump (2024 Version) – 240ml
Step 2: Exfoliation
To maintain your skins smooth look and help other products, exfoliate two to three times a week. Depending on what your skin needs, you can use a chemical exfoliant (such as AHAs or BHAs) or a physical scrub. However don’t do this more than 3 times a week as it can irritate your skin really badly!
- Apricot Blossom Peeling Gel – 100ml
- Bio – Peel Gauze Peeling – Lemon – 8 Pads – 8pcs – Yellow
Step 3: Toner
In Korean skincare, toner is all about hydrating your skin and getting it ready to absorb all the products that lie ahead. This is my fav step in the routine as it makes my skin so soft!
- Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner – 250ml
Step 4: Essence
The core of K-beauty is essences. They are moisturising, lightweight, and full of nutrients that make your skin look more radiant. This is the part that makes your skin glow!
- Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence 100ml
- No.4 Collagen 73% Pudding Serum 50ml
Step 5: Treatments
This is the step for your personal treatments such as acne creams and serums personalised for your own needs!
- The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
Step 6: Moisturiser
Use a moisturiser to seal in all that moisture. Choose a product that suits your skin type and apply it, whether it’s a heavy cream or a light gel.
- DIVE-IN Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Soothing Cream – 100ml
- NIVEA Crème 150mL
Step 7: SPF
If you just remember one thing from this post, it should be to always use sunscreen. SPF is the absolute best anti-aging tool, and UV rays are serious business, especially here in aus. Rain or shine please use it every morning.
- Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotic SPF50+ PA++++
- Matte Sun Stick : Mugwort + Camelia SPF50 PA++++ – 18g
Pro tips for skincare newbies!
- Begin slowly and see how your skin responds, introduce new products one at a time so you don’t break out!
- Always patch test to avoid issues (breakouts / burns)
- Consistency is key and you should stick to your routine and give your skin time to adjust, it took like a month to start seeing results!
This ends your guide to the ideal Korean skincare routine. This practice is the ideal place to start, regardless of your goals that might include glass skin, a cute glow, or simply happy, healthy skin.
As always thank you so much for reading till the end, have an amazing day!
