My room is one of my favourite places (after the beach ofc) and while it is great to socialize and be with friends and family it is also very important to have alone time and be able to relax and rewind in your own space. Your room should be a reflection of your mind and personality so whether you have a new room or just want some tips to spice up your space i have ten tips to help you out!
Fairy Lights
Fairy lights are such a classic way to add warmth to a room. String them around your bed frame, drape them across a wall or put them hanging from your ceiling. You can get fairy lights from pretty much anywhere but the best type for a cozy feel would be warm string lights!

Throw Pillows and Blankets
There are so many cute pillows and blankets that are on the market. You can even get them to match the season / time of year. I have a snowflake blanket for winter time and a light pink for summer. Changing up your bedding can keep your room feeling fresh and new! Try match your covers and pillows and blankets for a cohesive and pretty bed.

Posters
One of the simplest and least expensive methods to express your individuality and give your room a unique vibe is using posters. There is a poster out there that fit your style, whether it be music, movies, art, or cutesy quotes. I have movie posters (beautiful boy) and album covers (rumours fleetwood mac) on my walls!
Etsy has so many cute posters and you can also submit your own images to make a very personalised poster!
DIY Collage
Transform a pinterest board into a collage for your desks notice board or to create a customised piece, cut out pictures from magazines, print pictures, or use little posters and stickers!

Decorative Mirrors
In addition to making your room appear bigger, a cute mirror will make a statement. For a stylish look, choose a classic gold look or round or perhaps if your feeling vintage a hippie wood mirror!

Trinkets
Trinkets may be small, but they have a big impact on how cosy and unique your space seems. Remind yourself of old memories with souvenirs like beach seashells or souvenirs or a sentimental keepsake. Trinket bowls or trays can also be super useful and aesthetically pleasing. Use them to store random things that need a home, such as jewellery or keys.
Overall your trinkets should be things you love and money cant buy! They should remind you of good times and happy memories!
Final Touches
Adding small cutesy details like scented candles of your fav smell, a cozy lamp, or a letter board with your favorite quote will complete the look. But overall don’t forget that your room should be a reflection of you not of some random girl on pinterest so mix and match ideas to suit your style!
